Pilot & Co is excited to be unveiling a new wireline rod cutter tool. The new tool will be launched at the 2026 edition of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), the world’s premier mineral exploration and mining conference, taking place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from March 1-4.
The wireline rod cutter will be showcased in company’s booth #6502 in the North tower of the convention centre. It was engineered for situations where drill rods become stuck in the hole. The tool deploys directly on the drill wireline and performs a controlled, timer-based cut at the required depth.
“PDAC is an excellent time to show our customers the new wireline rod cutting tool and explain its many benefits. It performs reliably in the toughest downhole conditions,” said Hélène Coulombe, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Pilot & CO.
“We look forward to this event every year as an ideal opportunity to meet face-to-face with our existing customers and establish relationships with new ones. In addition to our existing portfolio of tools, we are happy that we can now offer a cost-effective tool that reduces downtime when equipment is stuck in the hole,” she added. “We invite drilling companies to visit our team in the North Building at Booth 6502 and learn about the broad range of products we have to offer.”
